Here’s a 10 minute report by El Bilad TV on my journey to Algeria to train jiu jitsu. A journalist thought my writing project carried merit and spent a day with us shooting the above. It’s in Arabic, but the gist is that any chance for human connection is a beautiful thing, and we should seize these moments to grow.
Most people research other cultures through social media, internet, books, possible travel. Not many search for understanding through human connection with experience. Empathy is crucial to a relationship. Relationships are important to community. Community brings unity and growth. I’m so proud of you and the message you carry. This project is spreading inspiration and curiosity for others which is so necessary.
